Vessel Performance Analyst (Mumbai)

We are looking for vessel performance analyst to join Fleet Performance team in Mumbai.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and assess vessel fuel and speed performance and update profiles
  • Analyse noon & sensor data for meaningful insights on hull / propeller performance using all other parameters
  • Assist in setting up benchmark consumptions/ model building
  • Assist in Monthly reports
  • Recommend external actions basis analysis and analyse impact of the recommendation

Skills and experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Vessel Performance
  • Good communication skills
  • Should be good with analysis, good understanding of parameters impacting vessel performance
  • Good to have experience in Advanced Excel, SQL, R / Python, Power BI / Tableau

Mobile App Developer – React Native (Mumbai)

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a good knowledge of SQL and databases; a lot of what we do revolves around data so it’s necessary to have a good SQL foundation. The ideal candidate should be proficient in the C# language, the .NET Framework and possess good OO design skills. Vessel Operator (Singapore)

This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone to join a dynamic and experienced global ship operations team, where they will gain exposure to different types of vessels sizes and trade. As a ship owner and operator, Navig8’s activities span the shipping value chain, with its core expertise being in the oil products/Easy Chemicals sector. It actively trades a time-chartered fleet, owns and invests in tonnage, commercially and technically manages owned/controlled and third-party vessels, acts as exclusive cargo broker for traders, and trades in the freight derivatives market.

Core purpose of the role: To co-ordinate the day to day operational activities of voyage and time chartered tankers.

Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of ship operations which includes: –

  • Communicate with external parties, including but not limited to Vessel Masters, Shipping Agents, Port Captains, Cargo Charterers, Cargo Brokers, Surveyors, Vessel Technical Managers and any concerned parties in Chemical Tanker Operations.
  • ​Stowage planning to meet safety criteria, international/domestic regulation, chemical requirements, Charterer’s requirements and economic efficiency.
  • ​Voyage planning to meet with safety criteria, international/domestic regulation and economic efficiency.
  • ​Implement stowage planning and voyage planning.
  • ​Arrange meetings with third parties, such as charterer, shipper, receiver, broker, terminal, agent, surveyors and any concerned parties in Chemical Tanker Operation.
  • ​Respond to vessel issues, cooperating with concerned parties until resolution.
  • ​Input vessel movement information / cargo operation into specific operation management software (IMOS/Veson).
  • ​Monitor (voyage P+L) through relevant operation management software.
  • ​Handle Tanker Bill of Lading, i.e. issuance and collection of B/L, to obtain LOI from charterer/broker through commercial channels and instruct cargo release order for concerned parties in accordance with Charter Party provisions.
  • ​Manage the filing of the vessel’s documents, i.e. notice of readiness, cargo operation log & time sheet, ullage report, protest letter etc.
  • ​Update the vessel’s itinerary for charterer/broker in accordance with Charter Party provisions.
  • ​Send port time with shipping documents to charterer/broker in accordance with Charter Party provisions.
  • ​Liaise with PFAs to issue freight invoices with supporting documents.
  • ​Other related chemical tanker operations work.
  • ​Supervise operations assistant and manage team of operators and assistants.
  • ​Provide back up for other operators in event of absence.

 Skills and experience:

  • Experience in Chemical Tanker Operations with an Owner/operator.
  • ​Experience of operating vessels carrying cargos such as Caustic Soda, Methanol, Acetone, Styrene, MEG, EDC, Molasses, Palm Oil
