Technical Management

Our vision of Technical Management is the result of the understanding that the biggest industry-wide risk is a pollution event caused by lack of appropriate technical management, maintenance of hardware or improper ship and cargo handling procedures (onboard and onshore). In order to minimise these risks and ensure the highest standards of safety, Navig8 has continuously invested in building an experienced and highly professional in-house technical management team, which we regard as the best insurance policy we or our customers can obtain in the market. Moreover, we recruit our own crew, which we carefully select through our Mumbai office.

Having achieved very high standards of technical management, Navig8 have gained the appreciation and acknowledgement of third parties who now entrust us with the management of their shipping assets. As in our other business areas, in Shipmanagement we focus on quality people, quality systems and quality service. Capt. Debashish Bhattacharya, Director of Technical Management, was part of the senior management of The Great Eastern Shipping Company. The team has over 100 years of combined experience in handling petrochemicals, oil and gas.
